D.L. Lowrie has been a pastor for over 40 years.  He is a guest professor at various colleges and universities. While pastor at FBC, Lubbock, the church grew from 1400 to 2100 in average attendance in Sunday School.  He has written several books including the 2005 January Bible Study on the Gospel of Mark.

Education & Missions ministry
  • Women's Wed. Night Bible Study

    6:00 p.m. Room Ed. 104

    "Believing God" by Beth Moore.  This ten week study is a video and workbook style bible study.  Questions please call Holly Hughes at 722-0263.

     

  • Men's Wed. Night Bible Study

    6:00 p.m.

    Focusing on issues facing young adult men.  This first session will look at possible directions for the study.  It will be led by Dwayne McCrary.

     

  • Prayer Time

    Sundays at 5:55 p.m.

Let us join together to pray for the lost in our community and pray for other concern.  Education Building - Ed 104

 

Music ministry
  • Instrumental Ensemble -  Anyone interested in playing in the instrumental ensemble needs to meet in the worship center each Sunday morning t 8:45 a.m.  We will rehearse the hymns and choruses for that Sunday morning and rehearse to play offertories in the future.  I look forward to seeing you this Sunday.

  • Celebration Choir -  We meet Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m.  We are preparing to sing "Somebody's Praying Me Through", Sunday 26th and as we begin work on our Christmas Music.  We have been close to having 50 in the loft.  Let's continue to work each week to meet the pastor's challenge of 50 choir members in the loft.

  • Silvertones - All adults 55 and up are invited to join the Silvetones.  We meet each Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. 

  • Ladies Choir - Sunday, October 31, Morning Worship Celebration.

  • Youth Choir - Auditions for the Dinner Theater will be held Sunday, October 17th and sunday, October 24th beginning at 3:00 p.m.  If you are interested in trying out, please put your name on the sing-up sheet that is available each week during rehearsal.

  • Children's Choir - Come join us this Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.

  • Children's Bells  - Each Sunday, at 4:00 p.m.

  • Adult Handbells - We have two positions available.  If you are interested please call Beth Willson at 727-6458 or Kim Higgs at 722-8942.  Rehearsal are at 5:00 p.m.

 

 
Student ministry
  • Cookbook Youth Fall Fundraiser

    Our Fall Fundraiser will be a Youth cookbook.  You can pick up your recipe forms in the Youth Office.  recipes need to be turned in to either the Youth Office or the Print Office.  We are trying to have the cookbooks ready to sell by November 14th.

  • Youth Fellowship Every Wednesday Night

Bible Study 6:15 p.m. Open gym from 6:00-8:00 p.m.   

  • Keystone Ski Trip Deposit

The first deposit of $70.00 is due Wednesday, Oct.  6.

  • College Bible Study Wednesday's 8:00 pm - Great Room

 

Children ministry
  • Church Wide Picnic

    Sunday, October 10th

    Immediately after morning worship, we sill have a Moonwalk, Slide, Face painting, and Games for the kids.  Please bring a dessert.

  • Fall Festival

    "Noah's Neat Treat"

    Oct. 31st, 6:30-8:00 p.m.

    Fun and games.  Free hot dogs and nachos.  Please place your donations of cnady, 2 liter drinks and nacho chips in the box in the Fellowship Hall.
